I am an experienced and fully qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, registered with the UKCP and the BACP. By calling myself an ‘integrative therapist’ I want to convey that I value and am well trained in diverse approaches to counselling, and that my intention is to adapt my approach to your current needs and experience. My work is based on a collaborative and humane therapeutic relationship, moving away from fixed medical models and psychological jargon.
If you are reading this, probably something is in the way of you feeling OK. The reality is that life can be difficult at times. You might be feeling low, stressed, isolated or stuck. It could be a relationship, your work, unresolved family issues or a traumatic event. Our modern society has many eases but is also a complex, demanding world with frequent experiences of anxiety, depression and existential crises. My experience has shown me that therapy can be very helpful towards a more fulfilling life, self-acceptance and managing stress or mental health issues. This is the most rewarding part of my work: when I see positive changes in the lives of the people I work with, and when I am reminded that there are certain difficult things in life that I, we all feel in our unique ways, and something very meaningful can happen in the sharing.
The first step would be to meet for an initial session, to look at your experience, needs and what might be the best way ahead. My diverse experience has included work in private practice, NHS, MIND, crisis centre and University services. I am located in Stoke Newington N16, Highbury and Islington N1 and Dalston E8, near North and East London. I work with individual clients and couples, and practice in both English and Greek.
